With the help of Mr.Hung Kwong-yee, a member of the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation Entrepreneurs Committee, and Academician Lam Cheung-Quan, the university was able to receive a total donation of HK $2.1 million from a number of entrepreneurs to support its strategic development and sponsor the Hong Kong Baptist University Fundraising Dinner. Mr.Hong Rui De, son of Mr.Hung Kai Yip and member of the Young Entrepreneurs Committee, and Mr.Chen Jing Long, Chairman of Able-One Technology Limited . respectively donated HK $500,000 to support the teaching and research work of the University of Hong Kong's College of Chinese Medicine. Mr.Lin Qiyuan, son of Academician Lin Changquan and member of the Young Entrepreneurs Committee, donated HK$500,000. Mr.Wang Yaming, Executive Director of Novartis Furniture Co., Ltd., contributed HK$200,000. Ms.Wang Yuzhen, Managing Director of Lijia International Electronics Co., Ltd., generously donated HK$100,000. Additionally, Academician Xu Xiandi, Chairman of SINGWONG Group Co., Ltd.; Dr. Ye Jiawei, founder of Wefi Limited; and Mr.Yang Weiding, Chairman of Jiajiali Cosmetics (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., each donated HK$100,000.
